When we are going to enrich an article, or make changes to an existing article, it is important to have the right grid that contains the right columns for the changes you are going to make or see. All suppliers must therefore create their own grid based on their product groups/needs.
This is done in the following way:
Open the Children Grid by clicking on Supplier name / Series / Composition in the product tree based on which level you want to start from for the change you are going to make (in the example we chose to click on the series EMIL).
Then tap the Children Grid:
Change the Grid display to be "Grid for new items all fields ...." - This is a master grid that contains all columns that we have in Pimcore, per Article group.
To change and remove which columns you see in the grid, so that it is adapted to your needs, press directly on "Grid Options" (After you have selected the desired grid). You can make as many grids as you want, so here you decide the shade yourself. The process is similar per grid you create, and you must always start from the master grid.
Delete the columns you do not want to see in the grid, so that what you see is only what you think is relevant to your goods. You do this by right-clicking on the relevant field and pressing "Delete". This must be done per field.
The order in which the articles are located here also defines the order they have when you open the grid.
When you are satisfied with the fields you want to see in the grid, press "Save" in the top left corner to save the changes - Call your layout (grid) something, for example "Grid for Dining Chairs":
Then press "Save Copy Share" in the bottom right corner.
You have now created your own view for the grid, which you can find here:
Repeat the process from the beginning if you want to create more grids. Always use the "Grid for new items all fields" as a starting point.
If you are going to make changes to an existing grid you have already created, select the grid you want to make changes to -> press "Grid Options"
When all the changes you want to make are done, select "Save Copy and Share"
You can now export this grid to Excel:
The following dialog box will appear, tick "Enable inheritance"
The file is automatically saved under "Downloads" on your local PC.
Make changes to be resubmitted to master data.
The file is sent to [email protected] as before.
ATTENTION! It is important that the file does not contain columns other than the fields to which changes have been made or are to be made when the file is forwarded to Grunddata.
The file must ALWAYS contain:
- Supplier number (7 digits)
- Supplier name
- Article number
