This solution is relevant if you have an existing article that you want to create a variant of, without having to enter all the information again.
Note that some values cannot be inherited by copy, because the value itself is inherited from another place in the tree,

Our starting point is that we will create this chair, in a different colour:

When you find the item you want to use as a starting point - right-click and select "Copy"

Then open your supplier folder under "Import products" (Where you need to go to create new items)

Right-click on your supplier folder - select Paste --> Paste as child

Article being pasted will have KEY (name) containing the SAP article number you copied, so the first thing you need to do is change the name of the item:
You do this by right-clicking on the product line and then selecting Rename.

You will then get a dialog box where you enter the desired name:

Example: ZED - Dining chair - RED (the most important thing is that you remove the SAP number).

Now the article is ready to make changes:
1 - start by checking that the article has received a product group - if yes - change the workflow to "Enrichment supplier". You will then see the correct % for which fields you are missing, in relation to the product group.
2. Change supplier name + color and enter composition
3. Check the various tabs - Enter the GTIN on "Units and measures"
  - Correct price?
- Specifications - Correct / check Product group - specific fields
- Connect the right material/clothing

When the article has been enriched from your side, it is the same procedure as otherwise - the article is set to Basic data using Workflow.
